Working with wood has been a passion of mine since I was a small boy growing up in San Diego in the late 60’s and early 70’s. I was exposed to the construction boom and often collected scraps of wood creating small building projects after school and on the weekends. My passion for wood and creating with it has always been a part of my life.
Today I am a full time Wood Art Maker with a lifetime of experience.
My signature style is to combine traditional and modern woodworking techniques to achieve an artistic display of domestic and exotic hardwood pieces. The hardwoods are combined using contrast in colors and grains. These expressions incorporate Edge Grain, End Grain and Surface Grain.
My goal is to create functional wood art. Products that can be used in everyday life with durability but display a “wow” factor of interest and beauty. All material is hand selected and constructed to withstand daily use in multiple climates of expanding and contracting of the wood.
